The Netherlands is a country of many bicycles, in comparison to the number of residents there are even more bikes.
A large network of cycling paths has been built to make cycling safer and to make it more inviting. These paths are clearly marked, have smooth surfaces, have separate traffic signs and are wide enough to cycle next to each other. Dutch people take their bike to bring their children to school, do their groceries, go to work, and for sporty and recreational rides.
On our way to a viewing, a key transfer or a check-out, chances are we’ll be by bike as well! If you decide to come to Maastricht, it’s probably a good idea to use a bike yourself.
